Day 1: Auckland arrival–Ferry to Waiheke Island (White sand beaches, wineries and local sea food): You will be met on arrival at Auckland International Airport by your Aroha NZ Tours Representative, and transferred to your accommodation in our luxurious vehicle. Begin your tour in Auckland, a city of harbors, islands, beaches and volcanic hills. While there enjoy a private excursion to nearby Waiheke Island, renowned for its beautiful landscapes, excellent vineyards and fine restaurants. Accommodation: Waiheke, Delamore Lodge
Day 2: Waiheke Island: Enjoy your first full day in “Aotearoa” New Zealand. There are many activities to choose from. Waiheke Island is renowned for its diversions from city life. Island life means beaches, golf, horseback riding, arts and crafts shops, bars, cafés, restaurants, world-renowned vineyards and olive-groves. You can take a dip in the chest-high Jacuzzi, have a sauna, or treat yourself to a massage, beauty therapy, or homeopathy from our in-house therapist. Accommodation: Waiheke, Delamore Lodge
Day 3: Auckland – Lake Taupo (Private guided cultural tour, geothermal areas): Next, transfer with your private driver-guide to Rotorua, surrounded by volcanoes and active geothermal activity. Enjoy a private tour of the region’s countless natural and cultural attractions. Day 4: Lake Taupo (Private charter boat /cruise on Lake): Late morning take a private charter trip on the nearby Lake in Taupo. A luxury vessel can take you to the many isolated coves and bays fringing the edges of the great lakes. Here you can fish for Rainbow trout, swim and picnic near the beautiful crystal-clear water. Day 5: Taupo –domestic flight to Wellington – Pallister Bay (city tour): You will be picked up from your accommodation to be taken to the domestic Airport in Rotorua to take a flight to Wellington. Arrive in Wellington, the political and cultural capital of New Zealand and one of its most attractive and interesting cities. Enjoy a private tour of the city’s highlights. Day 6: Palliser Bay (Private wine tasting tour and 4wd sheep station tour): No visit to Wharekauhau is complete without a tour of this classic Romney sheep station. Explore the far reaches of Wharekauhau Country Estate in four-wheel drive comfort. Day 7: Wellington -domestic flight to the South Island Christchurch (city tour): By morning a personal driver will pick you up at accommodations and drive you to the airport in Wellington were you board a plane for the Christchurch, the largest city in the South Island. Your personal guide will take you on a Christchurch City tour. Accommodation: Otahuna Lodge
Day 8: Christchurch (Private/guided tour to Banks Peninsula): Before midday we take you on a personal tour to the historic French colonial village of Akaroa; just 75 kilometres from the city of Christchurch. Akaroa is an historic French and British settlement nestled in the heart of an ancient volcano. Enjoy a gourmet dinner at your accommodation. Accommodation: Otahuna Lodge
Day 9: Christchurch – Arthur Pass (High country alpine lodge): By midday a personal driver will pick you up at your city centre accommodations and drives you into the mountains to Arthur Pass. Accommodation: Grasmere Lodge
Day 10: Arthur Pass (Private guided tour though West Coast rainforest): Today you take a personal guided tour that takes you west over the precipice of Arthur’s pass into rainforest country. Take a short walk in an ancient forest reserve containing native birds such as Kereru, Tui and Bellbird, and inspect tiny orchids and massive thousand year old Rimu trees. Day 11: Arthur Pass - Christchurch-domestic flight to Queenstown (Glenorchy): Take a domestic flight to Central Otago. Continue to Queenstown by air, an upscale resort town on the South Island surrounded by the majestic Southern Alps. Accommodation: Glenorchy, Blanketbay Estate
Day 12: Queenstown -Helicopter flight to Milford Sounds/glacier landing: Today we have organised a helicopter flight to Milford Sound. The icon of Mitre Peak beckons you as your helicopter lifts off to begin your journey into Milford Sound. Get up and close with some of the most spectacular mountains and glaciers in the Southern Alps before landing at Milford. Accommodation: Glenorchy, Blanket Bay Estate
Day 13: Queenstown (Dart River jet boat safari): Today we have planed an exhilarating Jet boat ride through” Paradise. This is one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand and used for a favourite location in several Hollywood productions and commercials around the world. Day 14: Queenstown departure: You will be transferred to your departing flight in Queenstown
