Spring Break ‘08 – Spring Break Alternatives

This year Spring Break is March 16-23, but the Spring Break travel season runs from March through May. While Florida is the most popular destination, Mexico is a close second – and an ideal destination for this time of year.

Puerto VallartaPuerto Vallarta is one of the most popular destinations for Spring Break and doesn’t disappoint. One of the best ways to visit is to book a private condo or hotel near the Los Muertos Beach, where the gay beach is located.

The Blue Chairs Hotel is home to a safe and comfortable section on the gay beach, and umbrellas and chairs with drinks and food service are provided for anyone – just order a couple of drinks throughout the day. (The non-alcoholic piñatas are a great alternative to the traditional piña coladas.) You’ll want to arrive early in the day to grab a spot – this can be very popular, especially with the cute Canadians who travel down from Toronto and points north during March and April.

Cancun Resort VacationsAll-inclusive alternatives: Cancun Resort Vacations. Hate the details? Then these might be for you!

In April, the All-Gay Cancun Retreat welcomes men and women and offers a truly remarkable all-gay experience from $1899 per person, including all food, drinks and most activities from windsurfing to kayaking and sailing.

In May, the all-women All-Gay Celebrate Cancun and Celebrate Cancun II each offer a week of fun in the sun, with all of your planning done for you, from $1399 per person.

Not up for the circuit? Then check out one of the great gay-owned resorts in Palm Springs during March and April – a great time of year for this desert oasis.

Astrolabe - definition from Wikipedia
The astrolabe is a historical astronomical instrument used by classical astronomers, navigators, and astrologers. Its many uses included locating and predicting the positions of the Sun, Moon, planets and stars; determining local time given local longitude and vice-versa; surveying; and triangulation. In the Islamic world, they are and were used primarily for astronomical studies, though astrology was often involved there as well. Astrologers of the European nations used astrolabes to construct horoscopes.
